BULLS FANZONE READY FOR FA CUP CHARGE

Sportscast Jersey’s Dan Andrade caught up with Jersey Bulls ultra fan Matthew Dyer ahead of the Bull’s FA Cup debut this coming Saturday at Springfield Stadium!

How good is it to have the Bulls back in action! How much have you missed them?

It’s fantastic to have the Bulls back in action, really missed match days at Springfield. I also think the disappointment of losing the VBet and Risborough friendly games to Covid, has made this even more special. Although watching the Euros has helped as a distraction through the summer.

Where did you watch/listen to the first match?

Listened to Mottys mic for the Beckenham Town game in the first half, then managed to watch the live stream on Twitter for the second half.

Are you excited about the new signings Bulls have added to the squad?

Yeah, listening to Motty in the first half. He mentioned Bickley up front l’m very keen to see how he does during this season. And Margaroli coming on sound a good prospect.

Who out of the whole squad are you most looking forward to watching?

Looking forward to seeing if Jay Giles can keep up his 100% appearance record. And watching Sol Solomon develop and take it to the opponents.

FA Cup this weekend at Springy? How exciting is that for the fans, both they’re back home and in such a prestigious competition?

Absolutely buzzing for this weekend, I was at the first league game at Springfield against Ash United and the first FA Vase game away at Billingshurst. So this would complete the set, to be at the first FA Cup game as well.

What are the plans for the FanZone on Saturday?

The majority of the FanZone who watched the Euros together are gathering again and were going to the supporters lunch before the game. Then we’ll be signing, playing drums and air horns, to try to build the best atmosphere we can to cheers the lads on.

Finally, what are your predictions for the match!

Although we didn’t get the results last weekend and lost our unbeaten ran, I think the pressure is now off the team in that respect. I’m confident the players will be focused and give it there all, in front of a loud home crowd and progress in the FA Cup. As a score prediction, I’d say 2-0 to the Bulls.

Good luck to the lads this weekend, and we hope everyone enjoys being back at Springfield Stadium on Saturday!
