Bickley Brace Sends Bulls Top

Lorne Bickley scored two, and Sammy Henia-Kamau bagged the other to see Bulls beat AFC Portchester 3-1 at Springfield Stadium tonight!

Henia-Kamau scored within the first five minutes with a quality finish from a tight angle, after chasing down a ball over the top from Jack Lumsden.

Bickley scored a screamer from distance to double Bulls’ lead, as he hit Jonny Le Quesne’s pass first time with power, leaving the visiting goalkeeper with little chance.

AFC were handed a lifeline as they scored from the spot, after a dubious decision saw Le Quesne penalised. The referee was quick to his whistle, with little to no appeal from the Porchester player Brandan Haunstrup, and visiting skipper Jason Prior chipped the ball down the middle to half the deficit.

Bickley scored his second and the Bulls’ important third in the 56th minute after the ball kindly fell to the striker after a tidy one touch move from the home side. Bickley made no mistake when through one-on-one, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way with his body, and finishing in the other corner smartly.

Another top result, and Bulls are now top of the Isthmian South East Division league after Bognor Regis Town could only draw tonight!

Bulls are back at home on Saturday when they welcome Hayes & Yeading at 3pm.
