The Parishes of Jersey are delighted to announce that Stuart Andre, one of Jersey football’s most decorated and respected players, has been appointed as our assistant manager.
Former island captain Andre is one of Jersey’s greatest players of the past two decades. In the past three years, he has moved in to coaching and management.
James Scott is delighted he has agreed to join his Parishes of Jersey team. “Stuart’s knowledge and experience of Jersey football is unrivalled, he is hugely respected by the players and I’m really looking forward to working with him in what will be an exciting year for us. We both have different attributes and I believe we will complement each other” said Scott.
President James Blower also welcomed Andre’s appointment saying “Stuart’s been a colossus for Jersey on the pitch and a model professional and I’m thrilled that someone of his stature is joining the incredibly strong team we are building.
The announcement comes just months before CONIFA’s annual general meeting is set to be held in Jersey.
Andre himself added “Parishes of Jersey have made a great start within CONIFA and are respected as having one of the best set ups off the field as well as one of the strongest teams on it. It’s a great time for me to get involved and I’m excited to work with James and the lads.’
‘After speaking to James about his plans for the Parishes of Jersey over the next couple of years it would of been hard for me to turn down his offer. I’m excited about being involved after the club season is complete. I’ve known and played with James on many occasions down the years and I’m looking forward to working with him within a management set up. We both bring something different to the table.
‘It will be really interesting to see where this CONIFA journey takes us. The whole Parishes team have done well to get to this point, as it’s never easy to get anything completely new off the ground, but I’m looking forward to being part of the journey and taking things to the next level with them this coming summer.’
It is certainly a really exciting addition to the Parishes set up and we are excited to see what Andre can bring to us in the near future.
