What a weekend we have in store as sport takes centre stage once again in Jersey!
Arguably the biggest event here this weekend is the Softball Inter Insular as Jersey welcome Guernsey to the island for a day of action up at Les Quennevais. In total there will be four games, starting at 10:30 all leading towards Jersey A’s vs Guernsey A’s at 3pm. Head on up and give the teams your support!
In rugby Jersey Rugby Club and Jersey RFC Women are in action as the men travel to Hammersmith looking to build an opening weekend victory, and the ladies side begin their campaign away at Pulborough RFC. Good luck to both sides!
Jersey Bulls are back at home again as they host Guildford City at Springfield Stadium, hungry for three points after a draw in midweek. Elsewhere in football there is a full fixture list in Premiership 1, and plenty of fixtures in Championship 1 and the 035s league.
Tomorrow also sees Swim Run Jersey return! A unique event, all starting at Gorey at 8am! Go smash it everyone!
Jersey Parkrun is also on EVERY Saturday. 9am start for a fun 5km at Les Quennevais with a wonderful community!
All weekend we also have the Carey Olsen Jersey Regatta with 68 entries – you can watch at St Aubin’s Bay. All the best to everyone involved!
On Sunday Run For Kezia returns for the final time. With a 2km, 5km and 10km fun run/walk event, there is something for everyone. Kezia’s Fund supports mental health amongst children and young people aged 5 to 25 and their families in Jersey. A great event for a great reason – good luck to all.
Also on Sunday is El Classico Trail Half Marathon and 10km, organised by Trail Monkey Running. All the best to everyone taking on the challenge which starts and ends at Les Quennevais.
Lastly, Jersey Volleyball are holding a Season Finale Tournament for Beach Volleyball. It all begins at 9:30am at the Gunsite! Good luck!
