Dan sat down with St Clement manager James Beaumont to reflect on the season so far, and to discuss the title race, which is really starting to heat up in Premiership 1.

How have you found the season so far?
It’s been an entertaining season for everyone involved. We have had ups and downs, we went from having really good squad depth at the start of the campaign to ending up really light. Injuries & transfers out being the main reason. It’s difficult because you want to build the best squad possible and give lads as much game time as possible but it’s difficult and ultimately some lads just want to play football. Going slightly off topic with the question but I think it’s something the JFA need to look at (transfer window) – if you sign for a club at the start of the season, you’ve committed to them so you should only be able to leave within a “January transfer window”. Going back to the original question, I think as I mentioned, the season has been exciting and will no doubt go down in history as one of the most exciting.
